JRs Pups N Stuff in Need of Donations for Medical Bills
We have 2 dogs in our care that were sent to us through the Milwaukee Emergency Center that came from MADACC - both had severely broken legs. MECA graciously gave us discounts, but we did spend thousands of dollars caring for the dogs. It required an immediate decision to save their lives - we didn't have time for fund raising or the dogs would have been euthanized. We have completed several eye surgeries - our most recent costing $800. We couldn't wait for the funds to be raised or the dog would've gone blind.
Right now we are struggling to raise $3000 to have hip surgery for Izzie - the 1 yr old bull mastiff who has the most gentle, loving temperament ever...she had cruciate surgery at approximately 5 months of age that was not done well and created hip issues for her.
We have just been told that our beloved Slim, who had an apparent fatty tumor removed, was found to have cancer in that tumor. Now we have more tests to run to ensure he is healthy enough for adoption. He is young, and a love bug!
We stay current on all normal vetting expenses for spay/neuter, vaccinations, medications, standard blood work, xrays, skin infections, UTI, URI...standard type vetting, but the emergencies, major surgeries and surprises with some rescues, are taking us under. We need help fund raising. We currently owe over $12K for the care we have provided already. With the ongoing vetting expenses, emergencies current and past, your own group is in serious need of donations to care for the dogs we have rescued and to allow us to continue. We have a chip-in page too but unfortunately I'm not technical enough to get it out here, but it is on our website.
We are 501c3 so your donations are tax deductible. Now that our little collie has found help, perhaps we can find our way back to a balance at JR's that allows us to keep on top of these issues?
